Design + Values

Jacklily Floral was born in 2016 when I returned home to the Rogue Valley. Like Chile, my southern Oregon home is rich in both agriculture and wild places. The Jack in me packs a backpack to explore at every opportunity, and the Lily in me always has a mental map of stray neighborhood bushes and trees in need of “pruning.”

I source strictly locally grown materials for my installation and floral design work. Local, organic, and seasonal materials innately express and ground us in a particular place and time, support a regional economy, and are more environmentally friendly than commodity flowers and foliage. In an industry plagued by waste, I am committed to foam-free floral design, avoiding single use plastic and composting vegetative materials.

My organic design aesthetic derives from my love for the natural world and observations of how plants grow in the soil. I embrace their singular shape and form, following their lead as I arrange them. Whether designing a single bouquet, a whole event or an installation I am dedicated to providing a personalized experience to each client. My work is a tailored celebration of people, location and season.

When I’m not working with plants, you can find me working beside my main squeeze on a wood-fired masonry or construction project; out with our pup; or tending to an unnecessarily elaborate cooking project.
